The Balzekas Museum Library and Research/Resource Center

The Museum Library is a repository for one of the largest collections of published Lithuanian materials outside of Lithuania. These items are organized into five categories: the Main Reference Library, Rare Books, Manuscript Holdings, Periodicals, Pamphlets & Records. The Research/Resource Center is the gateway to making all materials accessible to scholars and the general public.

Founded by the late Irene Balzekas, the Women's Guild is instrumental to the advancement of the Museum and its mission: to celebrate Lithuanian Culture and to foster an appreciation of all cultures. An active and vital volunteer core, the Guild engages in numerous programs, projects and fundraising efforts in support of the Museum. The Women's Guild Room, a permanent exhibition created and maintained by the Guild, showcases traditional Lithuanian folkarts and amber. More...
