Art Exhibition Opening at the Balzekas Museum
The Balzekas Museum of Lithuanian Culture cordially invites you to visit a new art exhibit of paintings from the Balzekas Museum collection. The exhibit is very diverse in regards to the artists’ techniques and styles, and gives an opportunity to see Lithuanian art from a wider perspective. Most of the paintings will be exhibited for the first time. Paintings by Romas Dalinkevicius, Simonas Gutauskas, Danguole Jonkaityte, Danguole Jurgutiene, Rimvydas Kepezinskas, Antanas Kmieliauskas, Rima Maciunaite, Audrius Plioplys, Vilius Slavinskas, Zita Sodaika, Magdalena Stankunas, Irene Simkus, Veronika Svabas, Elena Urbaitis, Ed Valaitis, Aldona Variakojis, Mikalojus Vilutis, Giedre Zumbakis will be presented.
The opening of the Art Exhibit will take place at the Dinner and New Year’s Eve Party on December 31, 2009 and will be presented for those who will be present at the Forty-Third Annual Excellence Award Dinner. Dr. Linas Antanas Sidrys will be awarded Man of the Year 2009 for his dedication to Lithuania and Lithuanians.
